Due to a serious lack of copper mineral resources, there is a huge gap betweencopper supply and demand for long-term. In some ways, the lack of copper resourcesis now one of the most important factors which have serious impact on China’s energyand resource security. Therefore, it is now quite urgent to establish copper resourcesbasement overseas in order to keep stable supply over the next two decades, which isalso significant to China resources strategic.Firstly, the thesis makes overview and detailed analysis on the current globalcopper market, China Copper Resources, Chinese copper industry development statusand deep-seated contradictions, expounded why it is the only way to develop overseasresources to keep China’s copper resources sustainable development and how todevelop overseas resources in several common patterns currently. Combining withSicomines project, the thesis analyzes the model to exchange resources for project,including the composition of participants, investment payment method andpreferential policies between China and Congo-Kinshasa. Finally, this thesissummarizes the main risks in this model and proposes countermeasures.The thesis makes analysis on the road of Chinese copper resources developmentfor Overseas through combination of theoretical analysis and case. The "going out" iseffective Solution to relax conflict of copper resources in China’s economicdevelopment. Chinese enterprises needs to find balance between the share of globalallocation of resources and the domestic industry by participating in globalcompetition, market development and the development of mining economy."go out"to develop international resources will be the only strategic orientation in the future.
