Research On Model Of Project Management For New Product Introduction In An Electronic Product Manufacturer

Due to economy development under deepening of reform and opening-up, manyforeign enterprises are entering Chinese domestic market for investment. They aretaking advanced product, technology and project management theory&method whichhave been used into new project introduction management. When foreign advancedtechnology is widely used, new product introduction management is a sharp weaponfor enterprises to seize market quickly. At present, comparing with domestic IT andconstruction industry, project management is lower applied in fields of electronicproduct manufacturing. And project management mainly concentrated in the newproduct development stage, singularly in the conversion stage from engineer sampleto mass production. This thesis is taking P electronics as a sample to solve the relevantproblems of new product introduction process, and researches the application ofproject management in new product introduction phase of electronic productmanufacturing.In this study, the author is taking P electronics as an example to put forward theproblem and related improvement countermeasures based on factual status and projectmanagement theory. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter statesresearch background&meaning on new product introduction, and summarizes themain content&overall structure. The second chapter introduces relevant theory andresearch status on project management of new product introduction. The third chaptertakes P electronics as an example to put forward the problems based on current newproduct introduction process. The fourth chapter puts forward the correspondingcountermeasures, and analyzes the new management model will play a positive andeffective role in cost management, schedule management and communicationmanagement. The fifth chapter summarizes the research work of whole thesis, andputs forward the suggestions of further study.Hopefully this thesis could help P electronics improve project management innew product introduction through the above discussion and research, such as speed up,cost down and quality improvement. Meanwhile, it is useful for other companyespecially electronic product manufacturer to make improvement in process of newproduct introduction management.
