Research On The Effect Of Rural Farmers’ Benefits For Edible Fungi Industry

Non-forest product-edible fungi have prompted the rural economic development in SuiZhou city. Based on Advantageous natural environment, rich forest resources, technology andresearch, the city is an important origin for edible fungi. The quantity keeps up growing andmore products are exported to foreign countries. Rural farmers employ family members to plantfungi, and in this way their family income were greatly improved.Based on structural theory of industry chain, industrial organization，traction cost theory，the paper analyzed the factors effecting on rural farmers’ benefits on view of edible fungiindustry chain. The aim is to explore the relation between factors and benefits, so thatstrengthen positive effect on rural benefits and mitigate negative effect. The edible fungiindustry chain was composed of five circles, researching circle, planting circle, processingcircle，transporting circle and marketing circle. the cost of each circle was analyzed explicitly,research costs including three items, planting costs including direct costs and indirect costs,different logistic’s costs according to different marketing mode. The factors effecting on ruralfarmers’ benefits were categorized by subjective factors, such as age, education, scale,experience, resource, research on training, and objective factors, such as material cost, primaryprocessing, marketing cost, price of edible fungi, weather.According to the qualitative analysis of factors, quantitative analysis of towns in SuiZhoufocused on the relativity between rural famers’ income satisfaction and factors. Logisticregression model was compared with general linear regression model, the outcome revealedthat the Logistic regression model was better.(1)famers’ age, experience,scale, training,price,cost of circulation, weather had positive impact on rural famers’ benefits satisfaction.(2)farmers’ education, gravels woods’ planting area, planting cost had negative impact on farmers’benefits satisfaction. The paper suggested that the market price mechanism should be improved,appropriate structural model of industrial chain should be built. SuiZhou attached greatimportance to edible fungi industry, so that rural farmers’ benefits are enhanced.
