Non-verbal communication is a communication application,which is often used buteasily overlooked by people. Mainly, it refers to the form that is not passed by voice butpassed through non-language symbols, the exchange of information through voice form,compared with verbal communication, non-verbal communication has its own subtle affection.This paper mainly based on the image of language, body language, language environment asthe research object, which are often used in secretarial work but always be overlooked.Combined with social sciences, psychology, philosophy theoretical exploration of nonverbalcommunication, cut from the perspective of the relationship between work and non-verbalcommunication to communicate secretary, On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of thenon-verbal communication, nonverbal communication research significance and role in thecommunication of the secretary, combining the research method and use typical cases insecretarial work to analysis, expounding these non-verbal communication in using ofsecretarial work, We conclude: Good nonverbal communication skills play an important rolein secretarial work, non-verbal communication is indispensable for the secretary. This paperPreliminary discussion on some problems that using non-verbal communication in secretarialwork and were summarized: the role of bias caused by improper use, adverse effects ofemotional impact, barriers created by the cross-cultural factors, the ignore use of non-verbalcommunication, improperly and overly use the nonverbal communication, and makeappropriate recommendations and measures: first, the role should be established a correctsense and should be grasped their role, conscious manners into his secretary’s role requires tonon-verbal communication is indispensable for the secretary. Second, the emphasis onstrengthening the cultivation of non-verbal communication is also very important forsecretarial staff. Again, if we can appropriate use of non-verbal communication in good in ourdaily work, we need to follow the streamlined: simplify, accurate, flexible, moderate, coherent,and respect the principles of respectful and maintain a good attitude. Finally, it proposed toincrease the non-verbal communication methods in addition to learning about the basic theorybooks, secretarial staff should also focus on observation, bold, in practice, constantly sum up experience, explore the regular pattern, to practice to deepen learning, learning to drive withpractice. I hope this paper can provide secretarial staff some help to improve the capacitybuilding of non-verbal communication. I hope the non-verbal communication of secretarialstaff could be able to put into use and play some role in the secretary job.
