With the pandemic of COVID-19 at the end of 2019,many companies worldwide are being forced to implement Work From Home to address the needs of the outbreak.Work From Home is a unique solution that safeguards the health and safety of employees and customers,while maintaining productivity.As information and communication technologies continue to evolve,Work From Home has become a viable way to work.The "Opinions on Supporting Multiple Channels of Flexible Employment" issued by the State Council in 2020 mentions the creation of Work From Home conditions for workers,which is one of the national guidelines to support the development of new employment forms and broaden the channels of flexible employment development.Technologies like video conferencing,shared documents,online collaboration,and 5G networks all provide convenient technical support for Work From Home.However,with the popularity of Work From Home,the problems associated with it have gradually surfaced.DT was founded nearly 20 years ago and is a joint-stock company.During the period of Work From Home,the company’s development has gradually slowed down,and even a decline in performance has occurred.The purpose of this thesis is to find out the problems of DT during the Work From Home period and to propose measures for improvement,using DT as the research object.This study,mainly uses Media Richness Theory and Boundary Theory,analyzes and identifies the main problems of DT during the Work From Home period through financial analysis,employee interviews and employee questionnaires.First,individual in-depth interviews were conducted with nine employees of DT,and the interviewees’ contents were conceptualized and organized.Then,questionnaire entries were prepared based on the collated content,while revisions were discussed with experts and scholars in the relevant industry.Then,after the questionnaires were compiled,they were distributed to the employees of DT.Finally,data entry and data analysis were performed on the 213 valid questionnaires collected.Through exploratory factor analysis,it was found that the problems of Work From Home in DT can be categorized into four dimensions: communication problems,ICT problems,workfamily conflict problems,and physical and mental health problems.Also,an analysis of variance was conducted for different demographic variables,such as marital status,education,and department of residence,and specifically analyzed the differences in the experiences of different groups on the above four dimensions.The purpose of this analysis of variance is to better understand the actual situation among different groups so that the problems can be solved with the right remedy.Based on Media Richness Theory and Boundary Theory,and considering the actual situation,measures are proposed to improve the four dimensions: communication problems,ICT problems,work-family conflict problems,and physical and mental health problems.The conclusions and recommendations of this study are intended to help DT improve the Work From Home problems,and also to provide useful references for other companies and to provide a reference for Work From Home related research.
