The communication service grows rapidly now. The openness of communicationis not only a sign of their internationalization, but also promotes trade in goods andinternational tourism, finance, transport and other services directly. The research ofcommunications service has certain theoretical and practical significance.This paper simplifies the evaluation system and builds an openness measureformula for communication service. On the basis of Hoekman and other scholars, wemeasure the openness of the communication services from2001to2012. We also usethe net exporter revealed comparative advantage (NRCA) to represent theinternational competitiveness index of China’s communication service. Then build aVAR model for the openness and NRCA to analyze the impact of openness to NRCA.The empirical results show that the international competitiveness of China’scommunication service depends on its openness, but not obvious. |
