Agriculture is the basis of national economy and whose sustainable development is the precondition of human society and economy sustainable development. At the same time, it is the crucial part of scientific development view, which is people oriented, comprehensive harmony and sustainable development. In recent years, agricultural economy in Shanxi province has had rapid development, however, The livestock industry is the pillar of agriculture and it an important part of the whole national economy, livestock industry is also the foundation of social development industry. According to the date of the Shanxi Statistics Department, in the first three quarters of2013, Shanxi livestock and poultry amount of growth indicators ranking in the forefront of the six central provinces, so it speed up the pace to catch up with the advanced central provinces. Currently livestock production in Shanxi Province is facing low of the resource conversion rate, the structure is irrational, lack of resources, environmental pollution, animal disease and many other factors. In this condition, we must to break through these constraints and to achieve livestock industry leap again, the key method is transformation the mode of livestock industry economic growth in Shanxi Province. Therefore, development of modern livestock industry, the more important is to speed up the transformation of economic growth mode.The main contents of the study were as follows:Chapter one. this part introduces the study background, purpose.significance and the research thinking and methods, mainly discusses the research situation of the animal husbandry in the domestic and international circles, and finally proposes the research ideas and methods.Chapter two. this part mainly of animal husbandry in Shanxi Province overall analysis of the current situation of the economic growth mode, and analyzes the factors that influence the economic growth pattern is pointed out that the necessity of animal husbandry in Shanxi Province economic growth mode transformation.Chapter three. this part for the development of animal husbandry in Shanxi Province system characteristics and the future development direction, the reform of the system are discussed in this paper.Chapter four.
