As the rapid development of the market economy, customer demand has become increasingly personalized and diversified. The firm needs to keep innovation to adapt the marketing changes in order to keep the business sustainable. Cost saving is one of the methods to bring more profits and value added. The best way to achieve cost saving is to implement Lean Thinking, which means less human resource, shorter working time and less inputs. The important and essential way to implement Lean Thinking is to use Lean tools. Rapid Integrated Lean (RIL), the research object is a Lean tool which has not yet been wildly used. The research bases on two case studies which happened in Company T. The case studies are using RIL to implement lean thinking on daily routine, with a purpose to do comparison with other lean tools to find out the advantage and disadvantage of RIL.There are five Chapters in the research. Chapter One is the introduction of lean thinking. Chapter Two introduces lean tool and focuses on KAIZEN and A3tool. Chapter Three illustrates the concept, features and the process to implement RIL. And Chapter Four is the case studies to compare RIL with KAIZEN and A3. The final Chapter is the conclusion and further improvement. The conclusion of this research is:RIL is an efficient lean tool with a standard process to implement. It is comparatively less time consuming and less inputs needed because of the pace limitation. RIL can implement in varieties of the industries no matter what the project size is with all kinds of flexibility. Furthermore, RIL is easy to get trained and has high level of involvement, which makes it an entry level lean tool. However, RIL have limitations on project type as it only uses for process standardization. And it is necessary to emphasize the concept of continuous implementation, and enhance the popularization of the result for completed value stream in order to bring more benefit.
