With the rapid development of China’s automobile industry, talent crisis of automobile industry is also increasingly prominent, according to "China Automobile Talent Development Strategy", the report pointed out that professionals gap of China’s auto industry reached500,000at the present, and the gap is expected to notch150million in2020,which not only lack of senior R&D persons, but also lack professional managers who understand manager and technology. It can foresee the future of China’s auto industry, the competition of professional manager will become fiercer than ever before, how to attract, retain, motivate, develop the professional managers of automotive industry has been an issue of great concern for business and society, therefore, researching the professional managers of the automotive industry become very important for the real significance.The establishment and development of competency and competency theory has Provide a new perspective to the study of professional manager of automotive industry. Firstly, this research mainly collect data by literature search, open style questionnaire, behavior event interview and so on. It initially fix competency model consist of22competency character index on the basis of others research result, this investigation has also collected1200questionnaires in a company of automobile, Secondly, it also inspects the reliability an validity of research result by KMO test and Bartlett test of sphericity in SPSS16.0, which is a widely used commercial statistical software.it analysises competency number and weight with factor analysis and principal component too, ensures five common factors of professional managers in the automotive industry, which is named management capacity factor, literacy capacity factor, capacity factor of practice, ethics and innovation capacity factor. Using the fuzzy evaluation method to construct the competency evaluation model of professional manager for automotive industry. Finally, with the aim of empirical research, the competency evaluation model of professional manager is applied to estimate competency evaluation of professional managers for D company in automotive industry.
