A Study On Tourism Resources Integration In Kuandian County

In recent years, China’s economy develops steady and rapidly, the tourism has graduallybecome a pillar industry. China’s tourism market has gone through three stages ofcompetition--attractions competition, urban competition and line competition, now has agradual transition to the fourth stage--the regional competition. The two major themes of thedevelopment of tourism have changed into innovation and regional cooperation. Nowadays,there are many regions begin to integrate tourism resources.Since the reforming and opening up, Chinese scholars have begun to study on tourismresources and formed a relatively complete system, the main areas are evaluation anddevelopment of tourism resources. The integration of tourism resources has graduallydeepening until the year2000.Kuandian is located in the northeast of the Dandong City, Liaoning Province, it’s animportant tourism destination and it’s China’s largest border city，it’s rich in tourism resources,covering the mountains, rivers, sea, forests, borders, red minorities and other tourist types.In this paper, the author analyzes the natural and socio-economic conditions and thenevaluates the tourism resources in Kuandian County. Kuandian is a comprehensive tourismarea with natural landscape and ethnic minorities’ tourism resources. Combine the methodsSWOT and AHP, analyze the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and the threats ofKuandian. Point out that what strategies should be selected during the development inKuandian. According to the basic principles of the integration of tourism resources, integratethe tourism resources in Kuandian, study on the competing relations between Kuandian andother surrounding provinces and cities. Point the tourism image reasonably. Plan the layoutand tourism routes of the tourism resources, design different tourism routes according tosource regions. Integrate tourism products to form new travel series. Propose the measures inKuandian tourism development; government should attach great importance to tourism, theplans of the tourism development should be reasonable; make appropriate policy supports;accelerate the integration of tourism resources in Kuandian, focus on marketing and thetraining professionals. Finally, sum up the full text, Kuandian should accelerate the pace oftourism resources integration, develop tourism vigorously and promote the rapid developmentof the local economic level.
