The Present Status And The Development Countermeasures On Greengage Industry In Shanghang County

Greengage planting base of Shanghang county is one of the three major production bases in Fujian Province. The unique natural environment condition of Shanghang county provides superior growth environment for planting greengage. Greengage products enjoy a good reputation in the market.Now greengage planting area of Shanghang county is more than4.9thousand acres, and production area has reached3thousand acres. It can output more than six thousand tons of greengages. Ministry of Public Health added processed products "Dark Plum Fruit" of Shanghang into the "both food and medicine". Then Dark Plum Fruit becomes the standard sample of ((Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China)) and premium products by the Fujian Medical Systems. The county government of Shanghang attaches great importance to the development of greengage industry. Although greengage of Shanghang County enjoys a good reputation in the market, there are a lot of factors restricting industrial development. Besides the prices of greengage in recent years becoming downturn and competitiveness of other planting greengage area becoming stronger, the gap, between greengage industry and other fruit industry in Shanghang, is growing in modern production. This paper analyses the present greengage industrial situation of the cultivating and processing of Shanghang county, to find the constraint of the greengage industry in Shanghang from planting to processing, mainly includes the irrational cultivation and processing of the variety structure, backward management techniques, fruit market confusion, week market development ability, slow development of highly processing lack of professionals, price volatility and other constraints. This paper proposes countermeasures for the greengage industrial development of Shanghang County as follows:(Ⅰ)Strengthen the government support and guidance;(Ⅱ) enhance the construction and guidance of the association;(Ⅲ) cultivate and strengthen the leading enterprises;(Ⅳ) improve industrial technology innovation ability and promote industry sustainable development;(Ⅴ) establish production bases, strengthen the standardized production;(Ⅵ)improve the additional value of products to promote industrial upgrading;(Ⅶ) strengthen the supervision of product quality, ensuring product quality and safety;(Ⅸ) implement brand strategy; (Ⅹ) actively expand the consumer market;(Ⅺ) innovate the growth mode combining with tourism.Through this research, policy recommendations and experience was provided for the development of greengage industry of Shanghang County, in order to promote the healthy development of greengage industry of Shanghang county.
