BackgroundConsumer behavior is a consumer used for consumer goods and labor services in search, selection, purchase and use of such activities, people choose whether and how consumption also exists to consume certain psychological factors, with the consumer concept in-depth, plays an increasingly large proportion of consumption in the contemporary university students’ daily life.In1980after the birth of only children, the better living conditions, growth in social reform and opening period, commodity economy vigorous development, Internet and high-tech products emerge in an endless stream, the influx of foreign culture, to strengthen the development of personality, like to listen to pop music, foreign fast food, play mobile phone, digital camera. With the rapid development of the Internet and the popularization of contemporary college students, in the shopping form, in addition to the traditional shops, supermarkets, shopping malls, online shopping has gradually carried out among the students, and develop rapidly, the impact and influence the students’ consuming behavior.ObjectivesThis study conducted a questionnaire survey about consumption by more than700different grade students of a university in the school, to understand the consumption of contemporary college students, in-depth analysis of the problems and their causes, and put forward some relevant suggestions, to guide students to establish a good consumption concept basis.In today’s consumer culture has had a profound influence on college campus, has the serious influence on College Students’ everyday life and study background, higher education should take the initiative to pay attention to and study their consumption culture, comprehensive use of various educational resources of their own conditions and the colleges and universities, the value orientation of college students, reflecting the changes in behavior and exposure to emerging issues, to adopt the consumption idea, behavior and correct measures to guide, in order to achieve the contemporary college students outlook on life, world outlook, values and behavior habits have a positive effect and good effect.Research on the status of College Students’ consumption and related issues, to guide students to establish correct concept of financial management, to form a scientific, rational, healthy consumption concept, and cultivate a new generation, promote national education development play a very active role.MethodsThrough the methods of using stratified random sampling, determining to the fourth grade students in a university, a total of720people as the research object, carries on the corresponding questionnaire and depth interview, collecting content mainly includes the survey of the basic situation, consumption fund origin, form and distribution, treat consumption psychological expectation and distribution plan so, the data were analyzed using the chi square test and percentage analysis, to study the current situation and problems of College Students’ consumption exist.Main ResultThe students of different family environment, there is a great difference between the disposable consumption amount, from the city of college students have more high propensity to consume than students from rural areas, most of the students think that now receive monthly living expenses is enough, able to meet their monthly consumption expenditure.The specific consumption, gender balance online shopping consumption is relatively good, male college students on non planned consumption ratio than female students must be high, overdraft consumption in gender were not statistically significant, while in college students consumer spending, much of the spending on food costs, the proportion of learning and training in college students spending spending month the relatively low, individual love costs relatively high.Conclusions and suggestionsMost of the contemporary college students consumption more rational and appropriate, to treat their own consumption situation is satisfactory, but the consumption behavior of the blind consumption, luxury goods consumption, non planned consumption problems still exist. Attention should be paid to strengthen the guidance and improvement from the family environment, social environment, school education and personal aspects, to establish the correct social values, cultivate the virtues of thrift and rational consumption consciousness, popularize basic knowledge of college students consumption finance, build their own consumption rational environment, strengthen the integrity of College Students’ education of knowledge, credit multi channel normalizing and strengthening the rational consumption behavior.
