With the continuous development of our knowledge-based econ omy, enterprises are facing increasingly fierce competition. If enterp rises want to gain a firm foothold in the competitive circumstance, they must constantly improve their competitive advantages. In order to strengthen their competitive advantages, it is indispensable to es tablish a set of scientific and effective performance management s ystem. Therefore it has become a problem worth deep thinking in how to improve the level of performance management for many co mpanies.Firstly, this paper utilizes scientific methods such as theoretical researches and comparative studies to define the theoretical connot ation of company’s performance management clearly; At the same t ime, this paper also studies the development of performance manag ement in both China and other countries. This paper takes ZX corp oration as research object in performance management system, comb ined with correlation theories of performance management at home and abroad, and deeply analyzed the implementation of performance management in ZX company by adopting the methods of depth int erviews and questionnaire survey. Through analyzing the results of t he questionnaires and interviews, this paper, with the help of charts, clearly reflects the questions of performance management system in ZX company. Based on the theoretical analysis, this paper puts for ward optimization proposal about performance management to ZX company.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part is an introd uction, it mainly describes the background of the selected topic, the oretical and practical significance, and ideas as well as methods of researches. The second part is the review, it introduces the relevant theoretical researches on performance management from the study of scholars at home and abroad. The third part introduces the basic information and current performance management of the company. The fourth part analyzes the existing problems of the company’s pe rformance management with questionnaires and interviews. The fifth part is optimization design about the company’s performance mana gement. Firstly, in this part, it is about ideas and principles of perf ormance optimization, then followed by performance appraisal,index optimization, and process optimization of performance management. Finally, it is about optimization of assessment results and applicatio ns. The last introduces safeguard measures of the optimization in p erformance management.Finally, I expects researches in this paper could play a referenc e in improving performance management for homogeneous enterpris es.
