Enterprise as a carrier of economic development, plays an important role in social and economic development.According to authoritative statistics, most of the enterprise have an average life expectancy about3years, only fewenterprise’s life is up to8to10years, and less than two percent enterprise can reach40-year.There are too many factors lead to the failure of the company, for example, the ignorence of the development and application of new technologies and new products, the stagnant of technology innovation management.Most important, they lose of the final core competitiveness of enterprises and industry competitive advantage.By the rapid economic and technological development, technological innovation is the main driver of enterprise and social development and become the power source to promote the core competitiveness of enterprises to enhance and sustainable development.Lanzhou Lanshi Group Co., Ltd.(LS Group for short), founded in1953, merged by former Lanzhou Petrochemical Machinery Works and Lanzhou. Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, which were two of156key projects of the China’s first ’Five Year-Plan’. Till today, LS has experienced a glorious course of60years, and is the largest and the most powerful enterprise leading China’s high-end energy equipments manufacturing industry, is a large state-owned, enterprises with strong hardware-based, with the majority of market share in the highly competitive market.LS is named as’Exploit Equipment Enterprise of China’ by China Machinery Industry Federation. However, with the machinery manufacturing technologycontinuous development, industrial restructuring and other changes appear in the market, LS Group starting to lag behind in the fierce competition, and the market share declined also.The deficiencies of technological innovation management plays a significant role.This thesis select LS Group as a research object.Through studying technical innovation management status of LS Group and the comprehension of several subsidiaries operating conditions, we make a diagnosis in technology innovation and management condition of LS group by using benchmarking and SWOT analysis. The technology innovation management mechanism of LS is relatively back-ward.Besides, the technology innovation talents training need more policy support.Most important, LS is lack of good atmosphere and other technical innovations. All these were found by diagnostic.To solve these problems, we found some solutions like establishment of a sound technical innovation mechanism, safeguards of research funding, establishment of a sound mechanism which is intellectual property protection, put more emphasis on introducing and training technological innovation talent, establishment of incentive mechanism, especially for technological innovation of enterprise culture.
