Equipment Manufacturing Industry is one of the mainstays in national economy and oil-equipment manufacturing industry as the core industry is the cornerstone for the development of national economy, especially the industrial development. Establishing a strong oil-equipment manufacturing industry is the guarantee to improve Chinese comprehensive power and realize industrial modernization. Out of the impact in the national and international markets, the profit margins in oil-equipment manufacturing industry grow smaller and smaller, so a key issue in this industry is to adopt new strategies to gain market advantage and expand profit margins.In this context, based on the combing of relevant theories, the paper first addresses the theories and methods of strategic management in terms of definitions and schools and then deals with multi-strategic theories and acquisition strategic theories by the way of types and motivations. Second, according to the above theories, taking Lanshi Group for instance and focusing on the upgrading reform project of "move out of the city and go into the park", the paper systematically analyzes the six aspects for the developing trend of Lanshi Group:policy, talents, capital, geological district, brand and scales. Meanwhile, it predicts the necessity and feasibility of strategic transition for Lanshi Group in terms of state policy, local city development planning, the development of petrochemical industry and group inner innovation. By analysis, I think that the strategic transitionhas both opportunities and advantages. Thirdly, the paper produces a systematic transition design for Lanshi Group in the ways of R&D support, multiple development, cross-industry acquisition and cross-district development. Currently, we have seen good results. Finally, the paper gives an analysis of the strategic risks of Lanshi Group Transition Project and provides corresponding countermeasures in terms of oversized investment, real estate development, talent strain and acquisitions.The above researching results rest on theories and practice and will have enlightening significance for a new round of state reform, transition of large and medium-sized enterprises, relocation of factories, and cross-industry development.
