Nowadays, the growth of the demand for private banking service is obvious.There are several factors, such as the long-term rapid development of the economy ofChina (especially shows in its GDP), the maintained high level of the saving rate aswell as the increase of rich people, the centralization of wealth, contribute to thisissue. Bank of China(BOC),China Merchants Bank (CMB) and CITIC Bank havestarted to test professional private banks and wealth management institutions inmajor cities of China since2007. That is the very beginning for those pioneers tostep into the private banking service. As a fresh troop in the regional financial market,Shanghai Pudong Development Bank(Hangzhou Branch)began to develop itsprivate banking service in2011. In order to stand out in the battle of private bankingservice, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank(Hangzhou Branch) has put a lot ofattention on building proper business model and exerted itself.All the researches done in this article are going to get round to how to build abusiness model in Shanghai Pudong Development Bank(Hangzhou Branch). Whatis more, they also included all the problems related to the major one. First andforemost, organize and paraphrase the literature, which is pertinent to the issue underresearch. After the first step, author considers the Shanghai Pudong DevelopmentBank(Hangzhou Branch)as an object, and starts to study on related value chain andbusiness model theories, cooperating with the analytical method on bothdemonstration and literature. Only through such a series of studies can peopleanalyze the outer and inside industrial environment clearly. Ultimately,ShanghaiPudong Development Bank(Hangzhou Branch)will set up a series managementmodels to carry out the customer value, while establishing its business orientation,profit model, channel model and organization model. All these consequences base onresearches on customers’ personalities and preferences, the modern value chains and constructing business model.
