End of2008, an international financial crisis menacing, serious impact on the development offoreign trade in Ningbo. It leads to double dip of the order and profit of ESIC. After2008, thecompany in two years of hard time supporting, with a few relatively stable and old customers,barely able to maintain the company’s break even. Companies succeed in this particular period ofhistory to survive we must seek a strategic transformation. This article is based on ESIC strategictransformation, explained the meaning of strategic management and strategic management ofSMEs problems, characteristics, SMEs to develop strategic management principles, proceduresand policies. Detailed analysis of the operating status ESIC, after the financial crisis facing thepractical difficulties and challenges, explains the strategic transformation of ESIC motives and thenecessity and urgency of restructuring; through strategic management model, the ESIC facing theexternal environment and internal situation to make a comprehensive and in-depth analysis. Alsoproposed for enterprise development in four transition models-many varieties of productsbusiness model, a combination of industry business model, professional procurement companyoperating mode, an export import business model, and these four modes through a detailedcomparison of their advantages and disadvantages, and ultimately ESIC determine thetransformation direction.
