Abstract/Summary:
With the improvement of our life, people have increasing demand for flowers.Flower industry has become an important growth point of China’s economy and hasgreat significance for the regional development. Yunnan,a province located insouthwest of China, has great geography and environment advantages of plantingflowers. After several years of development, it has become the biggest flower producingarea. Flower industry has become the pillar of local economic development. However,compared with the world advanced flower producing area, Yunnan province still has along way to go. Logistics has become a an important factor restricting the developmentof Yunnan flowers. In the whole process of logistics, inventory problems should be paidthe most attention. Lacking of effective equipment for inventory cause high levels ofdecay loss, which increase the cost of the supply chain. To solve the problem, this paperis meant to focus on the inventory system of Yunnan province. Hoping to findinstruction for logistic mode transformation.This paper fist reviews the research result of the related field and has an analysison it. Then we make an overview of some related theories and discuss the feasibility ofthis study. All these work form backbone of next work. Next, the article makes asystematic analysis on the model of the whole Yunnan flower logistics inventory controlsystem and finally construct the model. At last,we make recomendentions according tothe result of simulation.The simulation result show that small fluctuations of consumer’s demand will beenlarged gradually. These phenomenon led to high volatility in the inventory and thuscause high inventory cost. To cut the inventory cost, this paper put forward four aspectsof optimization measures, respectively is to simplify the integration of the supply chainlogistics nodes, improving the professional level of logistics process, constructinginformation and sharing platform and strengthening the cooperation.
