Research On Restructure Of Green Information System Of Freight-forwarding Company

Green information system of freight-forwarding company has recently become more andmore of a concern among both academics and practitioners. In particular, freight-forwardingservices operations can play a significant role in reducing the environmental burden.Although studies on these issues have been significantly increasing in the literature, still littleinvestigation has been illustrated among the impact by a new structure of green informationsystem of freight-forwarding company. The present paper aims to fill this gap and providesthe results of this study on the adoption of green initiative in freight-forwarding industry,along with customer feedback and statistics used for environmental performancemeasurement and the barriers and drivers than may hinder or facilitate the adoption of theseinitiatives. After literature review, the restructured green information system offreight-forwarding company was taken into practice in order to identify the initiative towardenvironmental sustainability with a focus on companies involved in logistics processes. First,find the significance of this study. Second, analyze the information value chain and target thedetail which can be created. Third, explore the solution to make the logistic servicedifferentiation happened. Then, the customers were invited to apply this green informationservice. Some of them were selected for in-depth communication. Fourth, Based on thestatistics analysis, the performance will demonstrate the benefit and barriers of thisrestructured information system of freight-forwarding. Last but not the least, discuss theapplication of different freight-forwarding companies with the green information system. Thepresent paper contributes the design of green information system for freight-forwardingcompanies and offers new lens not only in theory but also in practice, paving the way forfurther research on these topics.
