Direct chain, as a new mode of operation in modern retailing, is widely usedinternationally.In our country, it also develops so rapidly that it becomes an importantmode of retailing. In the background of global economic integration, the competitionin retail sector has been increasingly intensified. Compared with the traditionalbusiness model, the business model of direct chain has such features as a wide range,large-scale, centralized management, decentralized sales. Direct chain is actually a"management industry", requiring that regular chain enterprises should have a highermanagement level. In modern management, authorization management serves as animportant principle through the whole management process, and therefore gettingfully authorized within enterprises is an inevitable choice and an effective way fordirect chain enterprises. However, the direct chain enterprises in our country arecommonly characterized in small scale, not high standardization, lack of seniorpersonnel, weak information technology and not strong sense of authority, whichlargely prevents from the achievement of authorization. How to effectively andreasonably authorize has been plagued chain enterprise managers.In this thesis, taking W direct chain supermarket company as an example, underthe guideline of the relevant authorization management theories, combining thefeatures of direct chain management with current advanced experience and practice ofthe same industry both at home and abroad, and through investigation of authorizedmanagement status, related systems and key factors between headquarters of Wsupermarket and stores, between stores and employees, the author will analyze itsshortcomings in authorization management. On this basis, the author will put forwardsome suggestions towards the authorization management of W supermarket companyand provide a reference for W supermarket and other similar direct chainsupermarket enterprises in terms of authorization management.
