Research On Energy Efficiency Measures In China’s Industrial Sectorand Their Applications

Since the human industrial revolution, the energy of its status as a strategic resource is more andmore significant, not only is the material basis of human survival and development but also about thedevelopment of the whole national economy. Since the sixties and seventies of the20th centuryenergy crisis, countries realize the importance of the strategic position of energy and energy saving,Improving energy efficiency is considered to be one of the most effective way. At present, China’senergy problem is that the energy output is less than the energy consumption, the structure ofenergyconsumption is traditional,the industrial sector has been energy-intensive sector, industrial sectorbecome the largest energy consumption departments.the energy consumption in our countryindustry focus on a specific sector, the phenomenon reveals the existing problems in the developmentof industry of our country. So choosing industry as the research object has more practical significance.Aiming at this problem, this article selects industrial sector as the research object of energyefficiency measures. First this paper shows that the energy and industrial sectors’s energy utilizationin our country. Then according to the theory of energy efficiency literature,choose indexdecomposition analysis method to measure the industrial sector energy efficiency in China. Relativelyperfect LMDI index has been chosen to decomposition analysis energy consumption and energyintensity, respectively, from the perfect decomposition, decomposition of the rationality of the results,the comprehensive energy intensity index of three angles and other index decomposition wereanalyzed. Use LMDI on China’s industrial sector the empirical analysis results show that the outputeffect to reduce the strength of comprehensive energy consumption has been negative, effect andstructure effect and efficiency is the reduction in energy intensity in the positive role which theefficiency effect contributed the major role. Finally, this paper targeted industry of energy efficiencypolicy suggestions are put forward.
