The Evolution Process And Guide Policies Of Cluster Innovation Network Based On Focal Firms Growth

Under the background of economic globalization and regional development,industrial cluster plays a more and more important role in the process of regionaleconomic development. So it has become a hot topic to explore the way to realizeindustrial cluster upgrade in order to promote regional economic development.A large number of facts show that moderate hierarchical levels of clusterstructures which are dominated by focal firms seem to be more competitive andcreative, the nature of industrial cluster evolution is a process of building andperfecting cluster innovation network. So studying the evolution of cluster innovationnetwork from the perspective of focal firms is significant, it would provide thegovernment for important guidance to formulate relevant policies to promote theevolution of cluster innovation network.In the process of interaction and collaborative innovation among focal firms,other upstream and downstream companies, peer companies and other organizations,they established exchanges and cooperation with each other to promote the sum totalof cluster innovation of formal or informal. Its structure has obvious hierarchy, andcan be divided into core layer, auxiliary layer and support layer from the inside-out,the border is dynamic and changing, the interaction relationship between all levelssubject forms a complete innovation system.Firstly, in the main part of the thesis, analyzed the evolution process ofinnovation network which based on focal firms from three dimensions: temporarysubcontract trading relations, long-term mutual dependent relationship, collaborativeinnovation relationship, and concluded that the network has experienced four stages:initial stage, rapid development stage, stable development stage, mature stage, andthen analyzed the motivations and conditions in the evolution process of clusterinnovation network, and took Changsha construction machinery cluster innovationnetwork as an example to verify relevant theories about the evolution process andmotivations of cluster innovation network.Secondly, built an improved BA scale-free network model to simulate the cluster innovation network based on focal firms growth. According to characteristics andevolution rules of these existing heterogeneous enterprise cluster innovation networks,in order to build an enterprise connected probability, it added degree fitness anddegree saturation value in the prior joint mechanism of the BA model, to simulate theevolution process of cluster innovation network based on focal firms growth, and thento simulate and analyze the characteristics of such cluster innovation network. Theresearch concluded that the cluster innovation network which based on focal firms is akind of heterogeneous network, and possesses the nature of agglomerate, stable andvulnerable.At last, the thesis put forward policies to promote virtuous and rapid evolution ofthe cluster innovation network.
