University Library not only bear the role of collection books and dates, but also act as the main place for studeng to learn, it is influenced by environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, wind speed, noise, etc., and the environment is a varying parameter and strongly coupled nonlinear multivariable complex systems. Monitoring and control the environment can directly improve the library environment; it is not suitable for the demanding library environments to use the traditional handheld surveillance and wiring type monitoring programs, so this paper summarizes the existing domestic and international article in indoor environment monitoring, proposed to set up a real-time monitoring system of University Library based on Zig Bee and GPRS wireless sensor technology, the system includes the advantage of great scale node, small size, low power consumption, ad hoc networks, easy installation, etc. as the Zig Bee technology. It is suitable for University Library environment monitoring.The paper compares the architectural characteristics and environmental characteristics of University Library and Public Library, select the key environmental parameters targeted like temperature, humidity, light, etc.to monitor. And then select and design of sensor nodes, network hardware architecture development and Zig Bee / GPRS module design and air-conditioning, sun visor and other control circuit device driver architecture.The monitoring system can be very good to complete the University Library environmental monitoring, and achieve the design requirements of low power consumption, and other ad hoc network system.Through cooperation with other company to design the real-time monitoring system software platform, including PC software system, coordination system software and access software sensor systems to achieve the goal of monitoring network success connect to the hardware devices and environmental monitoring.According to the field monitor experiment at Shanghai Ocean University Library. System equipment layer collect environmental data, the coordinator layer sends the transmission data acquisition signal, control layer regulating air conditioning, lighting, sun visor and other equipment for self-regulation according to the set procedures; remote clients can query data and control via Ethernet, the system continued stable operation of more than six months. By studying the experimental data, with SPSS software to descriptive analysis, exploratory analysis and cluster analysis of monitoring data for statistical analysis that Shanghai Ocean University library data monitoring system is reliable, scientific, and verify the function of long-term real-time environmental monitoring platform. According control and laboratory simulation experiments to validate the system can be self-control well and the regulation system hardware and software are reliable, easy to operate, scientific data.Finally, the paper simulate analysis the impact of external shading devices to library, using the Weather Tool software to analysis the library exterior environment prove that take passive measures shade is the minimal impact for the thermal comfort of the building, and then use ecological building simulation software Ecotect to analyze the effects of the sun visor to the building indoor solar radiation, in the base of CAD software to drawing the library modeling, import the climate data, mesh generation through Ecotect, analyzes the change of solar radiation by visor in the reading room in sunny summer, sunny winter and the case of cloudy in full season, combined with different climate, different time to give the control strategy of visor adjustment for late self-control adjustment provides a simple control scheme.The real-time Monitoring System of University Library has the characteristic with low power consumption, low cost, self-organization and good precision, with the great advantage in the library environment comfortable monitoring against other designs, and laid a good foundation for large-scale application.
