Database is an important part of modern information systems. Data and their relationship which the information system needs are stored in the database.Two information systems and their database are designed in this paper. The first information system is a staff access control system based on RFID technology. It is one of data acquisition systems. The second information system is a stock farming statistics and monitoring system. It is one of data monitoring systems. The two systems are real projects,and they have been put into service.As for the application in the stock farming statistics and monitoring system, an algorithm which is called search and filter algorithm is proposed. The search and filter algorithm boosts the speed to obtain a great deal of database records. First, search parts of or whole records from database tables, and store the records in record sets. Second, filter the record sets to obtain each one of the records according to the corresponding filter domain. Because the frequency of the searching records process is only the number of some database tables, the disk access frequency is decreased. The run time of the search and filter algorithm is also reduced greatly, so this algorithm boost the speed to obtain each one of the needed database records.The system architecture and database of the staff access control system based on RFID technology are designed. The system is composed of a staff recognition subsystem and a staff information search subsystem. The staff recognition subsystem is composed of RFID remote readers, RFID handsets, USB tag distributors, industrial control computers and a database server. The staff information search system is composed of a web server, routers and query computers. The database stores information about the institution, the departments, the staff, the staff tags, and access logs.The stock farming statistics and monitoring system is developed based on odoo. The data report module, the farm information report module, the farm archive report module, the search and output module,and database are designed in this paper.. Report sheets are automatically created for contact people of the city management institutions and farming enterprises. Texts will be sent to the system users who should fill in the reports. Information about the city, the city farming management institutions, the farming enterprises,the system users, the reports, the query results, the statistics results, and the monitoring results is stored in the database. Through the centralized management of the reports, the system is able to provide the query results and output the results into EXCEL files.
