With the rapid development of e-commerce and internet retailing, online shopping is gradually popular as a new consumption patterns. But internet retail stores have many problems such as poor quality, inadequate service and unreal description. It promotes the rapid emergence of virtual try-on system. In this paper, we are focusing on Virtual Glasses Try-on technology. It will allow customers compare different pictures whenever they are trying to shop online. In the process, virtual try-on system will offer more details and let them feel authentic. They can choose glasses through online shopping and do not have to go to the physical stores. For manufacturer, the system can collect all kinds of information about the consumer.It can help manufacturer to redesign and reproduce the glasses.On this research of virtual glasses try-on based on augmented reality, we choose monocular charge-coupled device camera as input sensor. A method for virtual try-on system is presented using both marker features and face features. Using monocular camera pick-up image information from real-world scenes.Then we recognize and detect the marker features and face features from the image. Lastly we can put the virtual glasses on the face. The performance and experiment results show the higher recognition of the marker. The method can quickly implement virtual glasses try-on and provides some new ideas for virtual try-on technology. The main work of the dissertation is listed as follows:1. Though the study of the virtual try-on system. A method based on augmented reality for virtual try-on system is presented and it has important practical significance. We describe the key technology of augmented reality. We analysis the feasibility when we apply AR to the virtual try-on system.2. We describe the principle of marker based registration and analyze four kind of AR tools based on marker which are very popular, then select ARTOOLKIT as our research object.3. This paper introduce the Active Shape Model (ASM) algorithm and use it to search the facial feature points. In order to get accurate results, we make some improvements to ASM algorithm against its drawbacks.4. We introduce the 3DS virtual model. Then use OpenGL to import, reconstruct and render model.This paper sets out design and realization a virtual glasses try-on system based on Augmented Reality. Firstly, we use image acquisition system to acquire the real world information. Secondly, we recognize the ARTOOLKIT markers through computer vision and use the improved ASM algorithm to search the facial feature points. Thirdly, we put the 3DS model to OpenGL and show it in the virtual world. Then, we rotate and translate the virtual glasses model to map to the real world coordinate system. At last, we use facial feature points to move the glasses to the right place and finish the virtual try on.
