In military, security, construction and other fields, the demand for high resolution medium penetrating imaging radar is growing. And there are very few high resolution medium penetrating imaging radar devices on the market. This paper studies the high resolution medium penetrating imaging radar implementation issues. The key issues of the implementation and the implement of the digital unit is studied. The main work includes: 1. Research on imaging principle, including the theoretical model and BP imaging algorithm. 2. Build an experimental platform based vector network analyzer, analysis the indicators of experimental performance and the problems that should be pay attention to. The key issues of high resolution medium penetrating imaging radar were studied based on the experimental platform. Work frequency selection mainly decided by the azimuth resolution and depth of investigation. Scanning method mainly decided by the advantages and disadvantages of mechanical scanning and electronic scanning. Waveform parameters main mainly decided by advantages and disadvantages of impulse radar and frequency-step radar. 3. Introducethe implementation and workflow of systems briefly.Study the in the digital module implementation, introduce the functional requirements, FPGA chip selection and the final module design. Study the FPGA software implementation, including implementation architecture, clock and reset design, data flow, sub-modules design, timing diagram, and study synchronization issues of the chips. Study the software design of Microblaze processor, including software architecture, drivers, application architecture,and study the Ethernet implement in Microblaze software design. At last discuss PC software design.
