At present, the panoramic imaging system is mainly used to obtain the 360 degree information of the space, which is widely used in the fields of robot navigation, and monitoring. It is often need to acquire the 360 degree surface information of an object. The traditional detection method has multi-camera system, rotating camera system and outer ring telecentric lens. This imaging system has the disadvantages of high cost and complex system configuration. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the existing system, this dissertation presents an 360 degree panoramic imaging device, which not only has the advantages of simple structure and low cost, but also has small distortion and high imaging quality.The panoramic imaging system in this dissertation is composed of an ordinary camera and a reflective mirror. The surface information of the object is reflected by the mirror, and then it reaches the image plane to form into a panoramic annular image. In general, the objects are cylindrical or like-cylindrical, so the reflective mirror is designed by the principle of the constant vertical spatial resolution. In this dissertation, the influence of the projection equation coefficient on spatial resolution and astigmatism of the panorama system were discussed respectively, and the imaging quality of the system is evaluated by using the ray aberrations and point column diagrams of the optical system. Through the optimization of the parameters of this dissertation, we can get the appropriate coefficient of projection equation, so that the imaging quality of the whole imaging system can reach an optimum value. Finally, the projection equation of the system is calibrated, and the undistorted rectangular panoramic image is obtained by using the cylindrical surface projection expansion algorithm.The 360°imaging device of this dissertation develops a new application area of the catadioptric panoramic imaging system, and makes the detection in the field of industrial more convenient and efficient.
