Panoramic vision system has been widely used in robot navigation, Mars exploration, video surveillance, fire rescue, virtual reality, environmental sensing technology, and many other areas of civilian or military,for its characteristics of large angle of view. Present the structure of panoramic vision system usually be made up of a CCD camera plus a reflector. The most typical reflector equation is hyperbola. Traditional panoramic vision system used more common CCD cameras and the resolution is often limited by the camera. High-resolution camera will be used in embedded vision systems in this paper to improve image quality and design a real time high-resolution panoramic images unfold algorithm. In the past, panoramic image processing system is mostly running on PC. With the rapid development of electronic technology, embedded media processing systems more and more use the DSP as the core processor to complete complex data transmission and real-time computing. This paper use a dedicated embedded media processor TMS320DM642, produced by TI to execute panoramic images unfold algorithm in real time. And the embedded system is optimized through a variety of methods.In this paper, a highly efficient look-up table of high-resolution panoramic image for unfold algorithm is designed based on the modeling of panoramic imaging system. The software has excellent real-time performance after optimization. Design hardware system according to real time algorithm structure. The main content as follows:1, Introduced the architecture of embedded high-resolution panoramic vision system. Mathematical model of panoramic vision system is derived. Analyze the characteristics of unfolding algorithm depending on the definition of the coordinate scale. Design the panoramic vision unfolding method based on the look-up table.2, DSP processor is selected for the embedded high-resolution panoramic vision processing system. Design the panorama visual ping-pong buffer based on the characteristics of memory and panoramic vision unfolding algorithm. Design system framework.3, Design video signal input and output circuits, human-computer interaction interface circuits and allocation of power supply for each circuit module according to the system framework. Hardware circuit design and production of the embedded high-resolution panoramic image processing system are finished.4, Design a ping-pong buffer based on the EDMA data transmission chain. The panoramic look-up table is optimized. Analyze the performance of real-time panorama vision unfolding software.
