With the application and development of mobile communication technology, the number of mobile communication base station is increasing, so the base station equipment will consume more power. In the trend of "green communication", the base station energy saving has become an urgent problem to be solved. The energy consumption of base station main device and air conditioning consumption accounts for about 85% of base station overall consumption. So, the base station overall consumption can be decreased by reducing the main equipment and air conditioning energy consumption. Against this background, the method, based on multi sensor data fusion, to reduce the energy consumption of the main device and air conditioning is studied in this thesis.Firstly, the research status of energy conservation technology in communication base station and multi sensor data fusion technology is studied. And the basic principle of multi sensor data fusion technology and the data imperfection problem are expounded. Secondly, in order to remedy the existing deficiencies of base station monitoring system, a novel base station monitoring system is presented that based on the Internet of Things and cloud storage technology. And then, design and implementation of the underlying sensors for base station energy consumption monitoring is described. On this basis, in terms of the base station multi sensor data imperfection problems, the abnormal data processing method based on Grubbs criterion is given, and based on the pixel level fusion method for data mean and dynamic weight is provided. At the same time, the multi factor intelligent control algorithm is described in detail, and practical test show that the July’s energy saving rate of at least 9%. Finally, a fusion method of base station traffic data is given that based on the linear estimate:predicting teletraffic of base station by exponentially weighted moving average of base station traffic history data; base station energy saving time are pre-selected by the saving time selection algorithm; according to the real time teletraffic, the proposed method sets base station to enter or exit energy saving mode by the fine adjustment. Simulation results show that the base station traffic predicted value mean square error is 0.5662erl. The practical test results show, in ensuring the quality of service conditions, base station switching from dual frequency coverage to the single frequency coverage can save alternating current about 7.26 degrees per day in average, but the network coverage parameters of the Received Signal Level, the Received Signal Quality, the Carrier to Interference Ratio decreased by 0.59%,3.95%,9.95%. According to the simulation results, the method, proposed in this paper, energy saving effect is superior to the existing methods.The base station ventilation technology to decrease the running time of air-conditioning equipment can reduce the energy consumption of base station. Decreasing the main device energy consumption by giving an effective method to control the base station energy saving time, result in reducing energy consumption of base station supporting equipment, so as to achieve the double effect of saving energy and reducing consumption. Therefore, the presented energy saving method has important reference value for the realization of "the Green Base Station".
