In recent years, commercial society has been increasingl y prosperous,wide-form at inkjet printi ng technology has become more and m ore im portant. Not only it enhances the overall level of adverti sing business, but it constantly improves the technology of wide-for mat inkjet printing’s development. However, the wide-form at inkjet pri nting systems creating by our own nation i ndependently due t o lower accuracy, poor stability, are unable to adapt to the current market sit uati on,which leads to the technology developed slowly. Therefor e, the development of printing chip protection of which occupies intellect ual property is a great significa nce to compl ement the blank in nation. This article aims to develope a chip appl ied wide-form at i nkjet printing.The resea rching of chip is based on AR M core and FPGA hardwa re pl atform. To achieve the inform ati on-anal ys is, decoding, caching, transmissi on and printing tasks of the printi ng files.Firstly, This paper describe s the significance and research status of wide-forma t inkjet printi ng technology in nation and abroad, and beginning to research around the the chip of printing.Secondl y, it introduces the working principle of wide-form at inkjet print er,com ing out the dual core architecture and anal yz ing the principle of ever y module,including the CP U core modul e, Memory module, the printi ng i nterface m odule,engi ne control ling module, inkjet driver m odule and information collecting module.Then by programm ing of VerilogHDL hardware language and software language,it comes true CPU core modul e,S ynt heti cal printing-cont rolling module,and print ing interface modul e(FIF O module, function module i nstruction register module, status regist ers). Then t he design modul e for system sim ulat ion i n Modelsi m and Logic analyzer, and ultimately printed chips design and prototyp ing work.Finally, according to the design index of foreha nd, iCore2 becom es the verification tool of printing chi p. P rogrammed by hardware and software language,the inkjet printer’s basic function has come true.This paper finis hes the forehand designi ng and veri fica tion of print ing chip.Because the ti me is l imit, the back-end designing won’t come true. The researc h proved t he visibility of designing, and it has positive i nfluence to develope wide-form at i nkjet printer.
