With the fast development of mobile communications network and mobile devices, the data business becomes the biggest revenue for the telco operators. In order to take full advantage of greater bandwidth to provide mobile broadband data services, 3GPP introduced a new generation of wireless technology LTE, the network architecture of LTE changes greatly. Furthermore, the flat structure of LTE access network signaling leads to the vanish of the traditional gathering point. In addition, LTE networks use a lot of new wireless communication technologies. As a result, LTE network optimization needs new angles and approaches which needs to meet the new demands of network optimization.The dramatic increase of mobile users’ number, complexity and diversity of business types, makes the mobile communications network on the scale, the structure function continuously to the multi-protocol, and multi-level platform evolution. The majority of users on the network quality requirements and the needs of a higher and growing business. If we can make full use of equipment and frequency resources of existing networks and get the best benefits, companies can keep the network operating costs down and enhance equipment utilization. Consequently, heighten network optimization should not be ignored, it is essential that the status and role of the operation of the network maintenance, network planning and construction is increasingly important, and has a positive significance.The main works and contributions of the paper are shown as follows:1. Analysed the basic theoryof LTE and TD-LTE as well as its key technologies, frame structure, physical channel and network architecture.2. Study the TD-LTE network optimization guidelines and principles, TD-LTE network optimization processes and optimized TD-LTE topics, how to optimize a single station, cluster optimization, coverage optimization, business optimization, area optimization, boundary optimization, whole network optimization, handover optimization, access optimization, optimization of dropped calls, citing specific ideas and specific optimization and optimization strategies for further guidance.3. The TD-LTE network optimization ideas and methods, results and also lists some typical cases in Qingyang Xifeng TD-LTE network optimization, through a series of examples to sewage pollution problem cases network optimization, effectively solve the coverage, interference, pilot pollution, switching, KPI indicators, TD-LTE network to enhance the quality of SINR and PDCP layer download rate.
