As the communication plays a more and more important role in people’s life, communication technology is being developing with a high speed; LTE(Long Term Evolution) has been widely used in commercial area. In the technology related with LTE, RF(Radio Frequency) technology is becoming more mature. As a result, the products related with RF have become main products which are being designed and developed in many communication companies. To the problem that manual test is still part of the signal testing, this thesis does the research and design of RF signal automatic test system. In particular, this thesis solves the problem of high cost of building test environment. The RF signal test system designed in this thesis uses RRH(Remote Radio Head) produced by Nanjing R&D Center of Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd as the test object and the test results use specified parameters in 3GPP TS 36.141 v11.4.0 as the standard.Firstly, this thesis studies the theory of RRH and the way of RRH + BBU method; and analyses the important parameters related to RF signals in 3GPP standard, which specifies the meaning and procedure of each parameter.Secondly, according to TCP and Telnet protocal, based on SCPI and VISA, this theses updates the operation from manual functions to automation by LabVIEW platform. This change has not only decreases the cost but also realizes the automation. Meanwhile, to RF signal, this test system has not only realized the most important function, signal testing, of the past test systems, but also simulated the transmission and reception of radio frequency signals by using the custom board and signal generator designed by Lab VIEW platform, which avoids the conflict environment building problem efficiently. This testing also verifies the reliable and functions of this system.lastly, this thesis increases the automation degree much more by using Jenkins platform. Compared with other systems using manual function to start the test, this system fully liberates the manpower needs and improves the efficiency of RF products tes ting. By the construcation of LAMP working environment, in test application module, this system updates from previous “Human to Human” method to “Human to Computer” method; in test results display module, it no longer uses complicated Excel as well and updates to showing the results on webpages.
