With the development of communication technology, the number of users of Jiangsu Mobile continues to expand, and their requirements for communication service quality become higher and higher. Wireless communication system is the basis of communication services, in which the Base Station Controller(BSC) plays an important role. It determines whether base stations which transmit wireless signals can work properly. So it has a very large impact on user experience. Due to equipment, software, transmission or other factors, BSC often fails. And once it fails, fast recovery of business is very important for improving the quality of communications services. Therefore, it is necessary for Jiangsu Mobile to build a disaster recovery system for BSC.The BSC disaster recovery system is studied in this thesis. Firstly, the background and significance of BSC disaster recovery system are described. Then basic principles about BSC, including BSC architecture, network structure and main functions, are discussed in detail. And general emergency technology for BSC is also introduced. On this basis, the construction of BSC system of Jiangsu Mobile is summarized, and the design goal of BSC disaster recovery system is combed. After this, two disaster recovery schemes, the port cutover method and the whole cutover method, are designed. The port cutover method is mainly used in Alcatel G2 BSC disaster recovery system, Ericsson BSC N + 1 disaster recovery system and Huawei BSC N + 1 disaster recovery system, while the whole cutover method is mainly used in Alcatel MXBSC disaster recovery system. Finally, the deployment and construction of BSC disaster recovery system in all branch companies of Jiangsu Mobile, as well as its implementation and daily management, are presented. And the G2 BSC disaster recovery system in Taizhou Mobile and the MXBSC disaster recovery system in Suqian Mobile are used as two cases to detailedly explain the the construction and implementation of the BSC disaster recovery system.
