Research On Web Archive Of Social Networks

With the development and popularization of the Internet,it has became a very important part of modern society,and also became a main platform for information production,publishing,communication and transmission.Web information is growing exponentially and becoming a important part of human cultural heritage.But the fast updating of the web makes the preservation more difficult.The collection and preservation of worthy web information is meaningful for the long-term access of human cultural heritage.So the collection and preservation of web information is becoming a focus of the theoretical and practical study.In recent years Social network developed rapidly. As it can meet the need of producting and managing the information, social networks attracts more and more users to use it for communication and show more and more importance in information production,publishing,communication and transmission.The informations published by the users of social networks vary in content and form,reflecting the realities of the specified community of users,then forming the unique community memory,and there is no doubt that these informations are valuable to be preservation.But these informations generated by users are more variable and fragmented,so it’s more difficult for us to preserve them. The paper study the collection and preservation of informations post on social networks based on the study of Web Archive,and make a reference for the collection and preservation of other specified kind of Web infoResource.This paper will be divided into six parts, and the specific content is as below.The first chapter is induction. This paper introduces the background and significance of the topic, research status of Web Archive and social networks; while clearly the contents and technical route of this article.The second chapter analyzes the connotation of social networks and Web Archive,and the archival essential attribute of social network archive. Then summarizes the contents of main steps of Web archive,introduces some domestic and foreign practices in Web Archive,while makes a foreshadowing for the following parts.The third chapter analyzes the responsibilities of the members in social networks archive collection and preservation.firstly, makes it clear that unclear responsibilities maked a lot of trouble for Web Archive,so emphasizes the importance of coorperation.Then on the basis of analyzing three types of coorperation model dividing by responsibility,clearing the coorperation model for social networks archive collection and preservation,and does further analysis.At last clarifis the importance of archives in social networks archive collection and preservation.The forth chapter introduces the collection of social networks information.Firstly clarifies the range and standard of collection by analyzing the influencing factors.The clarifies the ways and tools of collection by analyzing three types of Web information collection methods.At last clarifies the frequency of collection by analyzing the influencing factors.The fifth chapter introduces the preservation of social networks archive.Here preservation includes filing, provision and utilization.Firstly analyes the cataloging of web information, introduces the labeling of web information based on tags according to the fuction of tagging of social networks,.Then analyzes the strategies of choosing storage carrier acoording to stability and usability. At last, introduces some routine services offered by Web Archive projects,and propose a kind of specific service for social networks users—account recovery service.The last chapter is a summary of the article. This chapter summarizes the results achieved and the shortcomings, propose future work ideas.
