The Textural Research About The Book Of Han Shu Cited By Chu Xue Ji

Encyclopedias are produced under the background of Chinese traditional culture with data compiled by the nature of literature, extensive content, rich text, involving all the knowledge of the nature and the human society, hold the important position of "a book that is to keep all the books", its position and function are given more and more attention.Chu Xue Ji plays a very important role in saving our excellent cultural treasure.This paper researches Han Shu which is annotated by Chu Xue Ji. The paper contains eight parts:The first part reviews research status of encyclopedias and Chu Xue Ji, explains the research content, research methods and research meanings of the paper. The second part makes textual research on Han Shu cited by Chu Xue Ji, which has been retrieve sixty-one quotations and the result shows there are not quotations from Gaohouji and Jingdiji.The third part makes textual research on Han Shu biao cited by Chu Xue Ji, which has been retrieved fourteen quotations, and the result shows that there are three forms of citations, which include direct citation, partly citation and abridged citation. Half of the citations are direct citation, altogether five. The forth part makes textual research on Han Shu zhi cited by Chu Xue Ji, which have been retrieved one hundred and seventeen quotations. Among them, there are thirteen citations from geography, so we can know the importance of geography at the time in Tang Dynasty, and it reflects the vast territory of Tang Dynasty; in addition, some other books’citations were wrongly attached to Han Shu.The fifth part, the sixth part, and the seventh part make textual research on Han Shu zhuan cited by Chu Xue Ji, which have been retrieved two hundred and twelve quotations.The results show that some other books’annotations were wrongly attached to Han Shu. The eighth part, calculates forty-two quotations which were cited from other books, but Chu Xue Ji thought from Han Shu. This paper textual researches on the source of citation and gives a reasonable inference and study. The conclusion summarizes the characteristics of the citation of Chu Xue Ji’citations, and does some research on some special phenomenon.
