Research On Process Visualization In Project Management

Project management is a series of management activities in the project implementation which using the theory and methods, can make the project achieve or exceed the aim of the project under the condition of certain resource constraints. Project management advocates the pursuit of maximum benefits with minimal cost, which sought after by many enterprises. However, in the actual project implementation process, the phenomenon of "Information Island" is widespread, which impedes the communication. The situation of project implementation is complex and lots of information is invisible. It’s hard to fully aware of all aspects of the project, which leads to cognitive impairment. Many people are difficult to fully understand all aspects of the project because of the complexity of project implementation situation, which can lead to cognition defect. This topic is put forward for these problems and through the visualization technology to realize information transparency, integration and visualization. The process visualization of project management emphasis on the whole process of visualization, based on the process model and build a dynamic project environment by the comprehensive utilization of all kinds of visualization technologies, to describe the information of project elements intuitively and roundly.Process visualization is a relatively new research field of project management, is also one of the trend of the development of the project management informatization. This paper research on the basis of project management and the theory of business process, propose a research route that take the process model as the basis framework and extend the information by visualization, and developed the PVT(Process Visualization Toolkits) based on Unity Engine. PVT contains the main ideas of research, the user can design project management process model for project demand, manage the process node, and integrate the corresponding visualization applications according to the actual situation.Paper is to carry out around the research route, analyze the theory of business process in the first place. To analyze the process definition, elements, the classification in project, process modeling and optimization methods, providing a theoretical basis for developing the process modeling function module of PVT. Then it discusses the plan about process visualization of project management, and explains the implementation of the scheme in detail. It includes the choice of project organization structure, the decomposition of project process activities, the creation of flow chart model, the extension of process node information, and simulation of the process scenarios and how to integrate the visualization applications. And put forward to the corresponding technical architecture of process visualization.Then based on the theory research results, develop the PVT toolkits which support the implementation of the process visualization in the Unity engine. First of all, determine the functional module of toolkit after the requirement analysis and functional analysis. Then explain how to realize the main function of PVT, especially on the programming principle and the key code parsing. Finally, on the basis of the research results and combined with the characteristics of emergency rescue projects, develop the visualized emergency rescue system with PVT toolkit.
