Design And Implementation Of University Laboratory Management System

University laboratory is the base where students, teachers and scientific research personnel can put theoretical knowledge into practice. All colleges and universities have promoted the development of modern laboratory through campus informatization construction. University laboratory management platform construction can give an impetus to the construction of university innovation education system and personnel training system, solve the problems of unbalanced experimental resources in colleges and universities and backwardness in management of fixed assets, and provide the support for experimental techniques to improve the quality of personnel training and promote the development of related disciplines.Through research and analysis of existing university laboratory management system, this article has conducted research and design of laboratory management mode in consideration of actual situation of university laboratory management, put forward the solution which is suitable for university laboratory management system, designed three-tier architecture based on SSH framework, and set up laboratory management system based on web service technique.This article has carried out detailed analysis of working flow of laboratory management system, divided function modules of the system, and made analysis and realization of all function modules based on user authorization management, laboratory management and fixed assets modules. Functions and tasks of function modules are independent and correlate with each other, the details as below:(1) Under RBAC model based on user authorization management module, user roles are administrators, teachers and students. Through control of role and relatively stable authority and responsibility, we can determine the scope of user roles and associate limits of authority with user roles.(2) Experiment management module, as the core of system, plays the role of managing whole process of experiment, including experimental course management, experimental teaching management, experimental project management, laboratory management, and experimental management for teachers and students etc.(3) Fixed assets module can realize the function of management, maintenance and discard of all assets in the system, and check-up of the assets through statement and report.According to actual needs of the system and database design principles, this article has designed database table structure of the system, set up actual operation environment of laboratory management system and demonstrated the implementation process and effect of laboratory management system, and conducted tests on overall system performance and main function modules through related test cases to meet customers’ needs.
