The 21st century, computer network generated by computer and communication technology go deep into people’s lives and throughout the household. Enjoy great convenience and benefits brought about by the Internet, while because of the openness and sharing network, people are facing a severe test of information security. Information security is not only a matter of national security and social stability, but also threatening the personal privacy. Therefore, the storage and transmission of information security issues draw more and more people’s attention and information encryption technology and information technology as the two main branches of hiding confidential information technology came into being. JPEG algorithm is a common image compression international standard, and the research of using of JPEG images as a steganography carrier has very important theoretical and practical value.In this paper, a hybrid algorithm based on JPEG image encryption and steganography is proposed, which mainly focuses on the application of information encryption technology and hiding technology based on JPEG image. Firstly, based on the encryption technology of symmetric encryption and asymmetric encryption performance analysis and comparison, select the more mature and good safety performance of AES and ECC algorithm, and puts forward a combined with the advantages of two algorithms mixed encryption algorithm. The hybrid algorithm uses AES to encrypt/decrypt the text, and the ECC is used to encrypt/decrypt the AES encryption key, realized session key transmission. The mixed encryption algorithm in AES encryption processing is simple, add/decryption speed, suitable for large amount of data encryption operation at the same time very good solve the problem of the AES key distribution. Secondly, Encryption technology protect the information of the content, but the cipher text garbled form also suggests that information intercepted by an attacker is classified information or important information, the attacker in deciphering the cipher text failure under the condition of encrypted information can be destroyed. Therefore, this paper puts forward to using the hidden technology to hide secret information in the open carrier, to realize the covert communication of the secret information, and guarantee the communication security of the password information.To better ensure the transmission security of secret information, this paper combines the encryption technology and information hiding technology. The first, using the mixed encryption algorithm combined the advanced encryption standard AES (Rijndael) with the elliptic curve encryption algorithm ECC (Menezes Vanstone) to encrypt secret information, then the F5 algorithm that DCT domain typical algorithm of JPEG image carrier is used to hiding cipher text, to ensure the confidentiality and security of the secret information. The new mixed encryption algorithm not only mixed encrypting the information content, but also hiding encrypted information, and dual protection ensures that the confidentiality and secure transmission of secret information. At the same time, the mixed algorithm combining the advantages of each algorithm that has high efficiency and good application prospect and can provide a reference for the similar application.
