Analysis Of The Relationship Between The Urban Memory And Archives

With the prosperity of the market economy in our country and the achievement of the plan to build a well-off society in an all-round way, the aim of China’s urbanization process is further accelerated. Accompanying with the development of urbanization, the lost of urban memory is becoming more and more serious.The similar design of the Urban’s construction bring the situation of the city special features disappear gradually which aroused the concern of the societ.Archives acted as the Knowledge wealth and cultural carrier produced in political, economic, cultural, social life and other fields which caused more and more persons’ attention in the establishment of urban memory. "Archives and Memory" is becoming a hot spot of research on the 13th. International conference on archives hold in 1996 in our country. As a kind of the most real and effective means of curing records, and the social life.it was time for the archives to be introduced in the study of social memory.In this paper, based on the theory of historical materialism and the archival science basic theory knowledge, the author study from the angle of urban cultural heritage protection, discusses the basic concept of memory and archives, research the relationship between the memory and memory archives.Besides of those study,the author also try to find the way to make some function for the memory building protect and memory archives collection of memory built in the city. on the whole,the author try to make some contributions for the government to provide theoretical basis and practical reference in the memory building project. This paper will be divided into the following five parts:The first part; The introduction. In this part briefly introduced meaning of the selected topic of this paper, the significance of archives research and the urban memory archives research process and achievements of theory and practice at home and abroad.The second part; analysis and description of memory and archives basic theoretical concepts. This part mainly explains the concept of the individual memory,the urban memory and the social memory. Discuss the definition and properties of archives, and the relationship between the archives and city memory on the content and the carrier.The third part:The relationship between Jinan city archives and memory building project. This part mainly describes the forming process of archives, and the components of urban memory and the role archives act in the memory building project.The fourth part:memory archives’ collecting of the archives department in Jinan. This part mainly discusses the general situation of city memory archives collection work. Discussed the plight of the city memory archives collection work, and analysis the cause of the trouble in the current collection.The fifth part:The explore and research of city memory archives collection job in Jinan. This part puts forward the terms of settlement in current memory archives collection job. And causes for such a situation,we need to broaden the archives collection channels, strengthen the cooperation with other archives collection.
