Research On Archives Research And Research Based On Urban Memory Construction

Since 1992,UNESCO advocated the implementation of "World Memory Project",memory has become a new important concept in archival academic research.The combination of archives and memories has also become a hot topic in recent years.Archives are the tools and carriers for building urban memory,playing a very crucial role in the whole process.And there has been a rich achievement in archival research.At present,archivists have rich research achievements on archival and social memory,and their theories are maturing.However,there is a lack of research on the combination of urban memory and archival research.Based on the concepts and theories,the author explores the relationship between archives and the construction of urban memory,the role of archival research in the construction of urban memory,and the counter-effect of building urban memory on the compilation and editing of archives.Then,I use the method of network research and comparative analysis to research the achievements of archival research in the construction of city memory in 31 provincial capitals and municipalities directly under the Central Government.The main research and statistics and its data analysis are the archival information websites and WeChat public platform.Finally,based on the results of data analysis,this paper explores the existing problems and solutions to the compilation and research work of archives based on urban memory,in order to promote the promotion of China’s urban memory engineering and the development of archival research under the theme of urban memory from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
