The Design And Implementation Of Ward Nurses Station Work Management System

The state begins to pay more attention to the informational construction of medical, and hopes that through the medical informational construction we could provide more patients with delivering quality care. Shandong Provincial Hospital adopted manual ways for recording, statistics and inquiry to manage the nurses station in the past, which can’t improve the medical services level. Later, with the development of technology and the call of medical informational construction, more and more hospitals adopt the information technology to realize the informational construction. Shandong Provincial Hospital hopes to use the information technology to establish a comprehensive ward nurse station work management system to lay foundation for the informational construction of this hospital.The ward nurse station work management system adopts C/S architecture, C# language, and the WinForm framework. The technical architecture of the system is divided into three layers, namely interface presentation layer, business service layer and data access layer. In the interface performance layer, there is mainly UI including a variety of controls, such as distributed control, layout control and chart control, etc., and it controls users’operation to transfer the data to the business service layer via Web services.In the business services layer, the system accords to the requirement to choose corresponding functions from patients management, medical orders management, ward management, information inquiry and other functions to deal with. In the data access layer, the system accesses and extracts data from database to respond users’operation control. The system adopts Microsoft SQL Server 2014 as the database.The functions implemented by this system include patient management, medical orders management, ward management, information inquiry and other functions. The functions implemented by patient management include patient access process, patient admission and discharge process, nursing information inputting and patient information modify. Functions implemented by medical orders management include prescription treatment, drug withdrawal management, valuation process, patients multiple entry and prescription book dealing. Ward management function implements setting designated price, bed management, putting medicine management, discharge notification management, prescription management, consumables management. Information query function implements patient queries, putting drugs inquiry, expense inquiry. Other functions realize pressing prepaid, printing day list of hospitalization costs, care management, querying duplicate objects.The implementation and operation of the system improves the service level and work level of Shandong Provincial Hospital to a certain extent, and it provides a good start for unified management of the hospital. At the meantime, the system is beloved by nurses, and it not only reduces the complexity of recording information, but also improves the nurses’work efficiency.
