With the innovative development of new media technology, the new media has closely contacted with the public life and the way, channel and environment of information spreading has gradually changed, which made its political function prominent and brought opportunity and challenge to the image spreading of political public figure. In the context of new media, discussing the image spreading of the first lady by new media is of great importance and value; by analyzing the new media report and spreading effect of the first lady, the paper discussed the experience and shortage of spreading, which has a certain reference significance to the image shaping and spreading of political public figure by new media.Based on the speed development of new media and transformation of social development at present and researching from the perspective of communication, the paper deeply discussed the problem of image spreading of political public figure by new media by combining with relevant knowledge and method of journalism and politics and regarding the "first lady" PENG Liyuan as the research object. Chapter one mainly elaborated the background, significance, theory, research status and concept definition of the subject; Chapter two made a contact analysis and discussed the media image and spread characteristics of the first lady in new media by taking Sina as example and extracting the report about the first lady; Chapter three assessed and analyzed the spreading effect of media report of the first lady by the research method of questionnaire survey; Chapter four proposed a concrete way to enhance the new media image of political public figure based on the national condition of China,; Conclusion part emphasized on basing on the national condition, made full use of the role of new media in optimizing political spreading and also looked forward to the image spreading of political public figure by new media.
