Blushless DC Motor(BLDCM) is a newly developed type of motor with the development of the power electronic technologies. BLDCM has advantages such as high efficiency, long lifespan, and superior speed control. Besides, it has simple structure, high reliability as well as easy maintenance. Therefore, brushless DC motor has been widely used in aerospace, industrial automation equipment, electrical vehicles industry and so on.Based on the mathematical model and work principle of the brushless DC motor,a method for modeling of BLDC control system was proposed. In matlab/Simulink,the model of BLDC could be established by the combination of the isolated functional blocks. Double close loop control was used for the control system.A discrete PID controller was adopted in the speed loop and a current controller was used in the current loop on the principle of current hysteresis band PWM inverter. After testifying by an experimente, the results are consistent with the theoretical analysis. The simulation provides a basis for an actual control system. The hardware of the whole control system is introducted in detail, which is based on controller PCB and power PCB. Controller PCB is based on DSP28035 produced by TI. Power PCB is based on Power MOSFET IXFH150N17T produced by IXYS. The main power circuit, driver circuit and DSP peripheral circuit are designed. Model-based design is an efficient method in the area of embedded system development. Taking BLDC control for example, the algorithm model can be achieved on the MATLAB platform using Simulink, Stateflow, and Real-Time Workshop. After the validation of algorithm model, RTW will be used to generate embedded code.Code can be downloaded into the flash of the Digital Signal Process with a little modification. The most important thing which designers need to do is modifying the algorithm model rather than programming. It has been proved that this method can not only ensure the efficiency and reliability of the code, but also reduce the difficulty and time in embedded system development. Finally, we calibrate the CAN bus signal by using PC software, and measure the PWM signal on the actual working conditions. It proves that the control strategy is feasible and valid, and achievs the expected results.
