Remote monitoring system has been widely used in the security system. Traditional remote monitoring equipment with large in size, high power consumption, inconvenience of installation, was restricted in use.This design consists of data acquisition, server, and client. Firstly, this paper analyzed the research background and the technical overview covered in the design. Secondly, the scheme design of each part are given. The specific hardware and software design of each part are given then. Remote real-time monitoring can be achieved through the network. CC3200 reads and transmits image data that data acquisition subsystem acquired by CMOS image sensor MT9D111 via local network connection to the server and receives control commands from the server. Data services and management of the data preservation and management are executed by server. The user can view the current and historical image files through the web page displayed to end users. Control commands sent by end user via web push to the control terminal using the MQTT protocol. The overall system test results and the problems existing in the system are given in the final.This design implements a low power consumption remote monitoring system using SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 as the core processing device. This system with battery-powered, wireless transmission is easier to be used than traditional equipment. Remote monitoring can be easily achieved anywhere such as security and office. Not only do this design provides a concrete application design, but it can be modified to all kinds of meaningful application system because its flexibility and extensibility of software and hardware design.
