In such a situation, user’s STB terminal control and management will be difficult to unify, and it will cause huge workload and maintenance costs in operation and management of Shandong Radio and Television Network Group, after network conformity.Aiming at above issues, Shandong cable digital TV terminal management information system to adopt one model based on Shandong Radio and Television Network Group status in network and equipment, which includes three parts:Branch company declare requirements, Shandong Radio and Television Network Group unified management、 User’s STB Auto receive. After transformation, this model configures and manages variety of information of STB in Shandong. And it also can configure differently according to branch company different requirements. This model not only meets the demands of unified management but also flexible considers branch company different requirements.Based on the DVB-C standard, this article takes the SI specification as the theoretical basis and combined with the knowledge of software engineering to expound the implementation of the terminal management system from Requirement analysis、 System design, Working principle and specific functions, as well as the key technologies and methods involved in all aspects. This article will to make full examples and demonstration combined with this project successfully completed the HDTV STB transformation for thousands of users in Shandong province. And in this article, some methods and principle will be presented directly by diagrams and tables.At present, this system has been running smoothly for four years and supporting the daily operation of tens of millions of HDTV set-top boxes in sixteen cities in Shandong(excluding Zaozhuang City). It provides a convenient and reliable technical solution for Shandong Radio and Television Network Group, as well as it has important reference meanings for provincial and national level cable TV network integration.
