Study On The Strategies Of The Public TV Program

Program is the core of TV media's operation. and the diverted profits in public TVs and commercial TVs determines the different value orientations of the two types of TV institutions. In other words, commercial TV stations pursue the maximization of profit of themselves, while the public TV stations focus on the profit of the public, such as promoting public responsibility, public right, advocating ethical value as well as public culture.Although public TV meets the austere challenge and impact nowadays, many countries still follow the head of its idea. Public broadcast and TV already begin working in Japan,Korea and Taiwan in Asia,even if in some behinghand Afican countries.Whether public TV exists and develops with the commercial TV and whether it could rather finish the mission of serving public interest are both rest with the setting and movement of its system.A set of old brand public TV,such as BBC in Britain,PBS in American,NHK in Japan,F2 and F3 in France,accumulate plenty experiences in programming and managing.This article takes them as the study objects,discusses the character,structure and working of public TV programs, and it would use for reference to the public TV all over the world.This dissertation first analyzes the fundamental concepts of public TV in terms of standardization and demonstration. Second, the dissertation summarizes the characteristics, composition and operation of public TV by referring to a number of world class public TV stations, for example, BBC, PBS, NHK, F2 and F3 (French TV stations). It has been observed that the above stations all follow the core concept of"servicing the public"to develop their specific tactics for producing TV programs.
