Medical Records Far-access App Design Based On Mobile Terminal

Medical record is a systematic file to describe the previous diagnosis of patients.It includes patients’ prescription, inspection result, experiment report and all kinds of pictures for illness. Medical record is usually kept by hospital and used as diagnosis reference by doctors. During the mobility of patients, change one hospital to another and the function of hospital, not managing the medical records but just keeping them, the timeliness of medical records is unefficiency. To resolve this problem, a medical record far access APP(application) based on Android system is developed. The patients access and update their medical records through app on smart terminals at any time and any place.This APP includes GUI(Graphic User Interface), patient information management model, database management model, medical records model. Medical records model includes sub-models of medical records management and medical records note. Database management model includes local lite database and big database in cloud server. Local database is the SQLite and cloud database is MYSQL. SQLite database save some lite data and MYSQL database save somce big data, such as diagnosis picture and medical test picture. The new idea of design for this APP is that we off-load the bigger data, such as picture of disease, report of assay, etc. on the cloud server and save only the lite data, such as medical record note, prescription, test results, etc. in the local memory.In addition, the user also can upload the lite data of local memory to the remote cloud server for a convenient of storage and management. This APP is designed by JAVA language. It realizes the functions of creating and updating the patient information and managing and updating the patient medical records. It also has the functions of communication with the cloud server and finishing the upload data.Nowadays with the popularity of smart terminals, the emergence of new smart device provides new developing opportunity for medical informatization. It is just a beginning for designing medical related APP running on a smart terminal. This project is only a primary attempt in our research area, medical informatization. It can be a template of design reference for future medical informatization.
