Commutation device, which is the converter valve core device, will be subject to a variety of electromagnetic interference from other devices, thus interference will do damage to converter device, resulting in commutation failure. Therefore, it’s essential to study the dynamic characteristic under different interference signals to protect converter valve against electromagnetic interference.Firstly, in this thesis, the IGBT module FF50R12RT4 (1200V/50A) from Infineon is used. How to design the test circuit based on double-pulse method is proposed, also how to decide all the parameters in the circuit and how it work are elaborated deeply. Then based on Matlab, its correctness and validity of test circuit design and parameter selection are verified, and thus a dynamic characteristic test platform of IGBT is built. Then, in the test, dynamic characteristics of IGBT under different bus voltages and collector currents are tested. Based on this, the main parameters of dynamic characteristics in the Chinese standard are picked up and switching losses under different test conditions are analyzed. The test curves of dynamic characteristics are analyzed by theoretical analysis and experimental verification. Finally, dynamic interference characteristics of IGBT under electromagnetic interference are studied from two aspects:The effects on IGBT’s switching speed bought by different drive waveforms are analyzed. In the experiment, triangular wave, sine wave and square wave are tested as the driving waveforms; an interference wave with two-interfering-peaks is proposed, the dynamic characteristics of the IGBT under electromagnetic interference signal is simulated and analyzed. To verify the correctness of forecast result, switching times of the IGBT under both the interference signal and interference-free signal are compared.
