What is the perfect personal communication? As we know, it should look like this: anyone can communicate with any other one at any place at any time, transporting any data, such as voice, image and file. In traditional network, these devices, just like routers and hosts, are fixed with cables. How can a mobile host logins in Internet when it is moving from one place to other place? The answer is WMSN. WMSN, Wireless Mobile Self-organization Network, adopts the advantages of three popular networks: Mobile Wireless Communication network, IP network, and Ad Hoc network. WMSN is a new type of multi-hop network, which can combine with Internet by wire cables, or connect with other WMSN by wireless channel. WMSN, whose name tell us its characters: its all communication points(Wireless Hosts and Wireless Routers) are movable, these points communicate by wireless channels, these points can form a network by themselves rapidly without any infrastructural network devices installed in advance. Hence, there are more demands on the subscriber access management in the network than in the traditional network. It is very important to ensure the subscribers' benefits and permit them enjoy the network service. Then, how to prohibit illegal users accessing the network? How to maintain subscribers' communication during handoff? How to avoid hostile users to access the network with data spied on the wireless channels used by the network? The aid of the thesis does be providing effective solutions for these 'how to'.To simplify these matters, we divide the network to some management realms. So, the subscriber access management includes two parts: in one realm, and among realms. The subscriber access management in one realm is primary and key. The paper mainly deals with the subscriber access management in one realm. The paper puts forward a centralized subscriber access management scheme in one realm. The scheme makes use of the three-section (WH-WR-RADIUS Server) model. As we know, the communication between WR and RADIUS Server is based on the RADIUS protocol, but the communication protocol between WH and WR is undefined yet. The protocol is designed in the fourth chapter. On the other hand, the standard RADIUS protocol only provided the AAA functions for the subscriber access management, but in WMSN, the subscribers is moving frequently, the AAA management have to accompany the subscriber location management. This is mean that the RADIUS protocol has to be extended to achieve location management function. Additionally, except to authenticate the license of the user when one user tries to access the network, it is also necessary to authenticate the license of the user during handoff. The arithmetic and protocol are designed for achieve the license authentication during handoff. After programming and testing the whole software system of the subscriber access management, I find some unsolved problems about the communication security. These are the pity of this paper; however, the further research on these problems is still necessary.
