Robot has experienced three growth stages which include remote-controlled, automatic, autocephalous and it also can be divided to two parts which are industrial and Service robot for different purposes. With the development of science and technology, robot has no longer been a general tool, it can remedy all the inherent weakness and boundedness of workers and it is playing a new role today.As the development of the robot technology, we not only study the robot with technology but also need to pay close attention to the ecological niche of robot its own, robot social niche and its influence to human beings. In technological ecosystem, the essence of "robot niche" is its own "position" where it belongs to and the "role" it plays. Robot has extended human ecological niche and taken the human beings to a more vast space, thus realizing harmonious development between human beings and technology in a real sense.
